Governance 2008 - 2009
CWiC has been going through an important series of conversations around leadership, governance, and institution building during 2007-2009. We have decided to move into a “rotational” system of collective leadership from 2009 onwards. We will work as a collective and not under the singular leadership of a director until we can garner specific forms of institutional support for directors and co-directors. Starting in March 2009, there will be no director of CWIC.
We are excited to experiment with collective leadership and work as a group. As of now, members of the Organizing Board will work as “project directors” for initiatives that they are involved with—and which will be worked in collaboration with CWiC. We will also invite other colleagues in the department and feminist faculty elsewhere to join us.
